Making a Joyful Noise

band1Redeemer was filled with the sounds of music on December 14, as students performed a variety of Christmas songs for parents and guests.

Ms. Ashley Visser, Redeemer's Music teacher, put together a program that featured our Concert Band, our grade 9 music class band, our school choir, one of our worship teams, and a special performance by grade 12 student Samuel Priddle on bagpipes.

Ms. Visser also asked our grade 9 woodwinds to perform Angels from the Realms of Glory, the grade 9 brass section performed a version of Silent Night and a trio performed Joy to the World. Although both our Concert Band and choir just began this past September, everyone was delighted to hear them put on very strong performances.  Many thanks to Music Teacher Ms. Visser for all her hard work organizing this delightful evening.

Also on display that night was a variety of art - paper pieces, wire sculptures and works made with felt, all created by Mrs. McKechnie's grade 10 art class.
