Our History
Our History
In 1975, a small community of educators and parents committed to the principles of faith-based education formed the Community for Christian Learning, which then began operating Redeemer Christian High School. Having occupied several other facilities over the years, we moved into our present building on Colonnade Road in 1997. Redeemer has since grown to approximately 165 students, encompassing grades 9 through 12. Redeemer is a nonprofit charitable organization and member of the Ontario Alliance of Christian Schools (OACS), which is an umbrella organization for 75 Christian schools across Ontario. The OACS supports its member schools with curriculum development and educational, legal and organizational advice. Redeemer is also a member of Christian Schools International.

Our mission is to provide a community of learning that challenges students to
develop disciplined hearts, minds and bodies according to the full measure of Jesus Christ.
|
At Redeemer, parents, students and teachers cooperate in a lively academic and social environment which prepares young people for service in today's world by encouraging them to explore and practise the gifts God has given them.
You're invited to make an appointment to visit our school, to see our staff in action and to get a sense of what we mean by: devoted to Christ, dedicated to excellence and committed to serve.
Here are a few snapshots from our archives, starting with one of our earlier locations on Merivale Rd.
