Overview

Redeemer Christian High School is owned and operated by a non-profit, legally incorporated, member based organization known as The Community for Christian Learning Association of Ottawa (CCL).  The Association was established in 1975 to promote Christian secondary education in the Ottawa area.  The membership in CCL is responsible for electing a Board of Directors which oversees the operation of Redeemer Christian High School (RCHS).  Membership is $300 per year.  The CCL/RCHS normally holds two formal meetings each year, one in May and one in November.

Board of Directors

The role of the Board of Directors is to govern and direct the operations of the CCL and RCHS.  The Board is the "directing mind" of the school society and is liable for all its actions.  It exercises its authority to direct and control the vision and mission of the CCL and RCHS.

Principal

The Principal is hired by the Board of Directors to administer Board policy in the daily operation of the school.  The Principal serves as the educational and spiritual leader and is responsible for staff supervision, program development, promotion of the school and acting as its lead spokesperson.  The Principal serves on the Board of Directors in a non-voting, advisory capacity.

Vice-Principal

The Vice-Principal works under the supervision of the Principal and is responsible for program development.  The Vice-Principal is a non-voting member of the Program Committee.

Committees

Committees provide a wonderful opportunity for parents and association members to invest in the lives of youth in our school community.  Committee members facilitate communication between the home and the school, they assist committees in fulfilling their mandates and they provide input on school issues and policies.
